Background
Tattoos have become increasingly popular and mainstream in recent years, yet the tattoo culture remains misunderstood in Hong Kong. There are limited channels for people to learn about tattoos and connect with tattoo artists. Even though some people want to get a tattoo, they may also worry about regretting it after getting one.
Solution
Create an app that allows tattoo enthusiasts to more easily find suitable tattoo artists on their mobile devices, browse tattoo-related events and information, and facilitate communication between tattoo enthusiasts and artists to expand the tattoo industry and promote tattoo culture.

By selecting different criteria, users can filter relevant tattoo designs, allowing them to discover different inspirations and tattoo artists.
Tattoo artist profile
Users can browse a tattoo artist's profile to view their portfolio, categorized sets, booking guidelines, and customer photos. Additionally, users can also see if the tattoo artist is currently open for appointments.
Users can check the artist's availability on the booking calendar to see their upcoming available booking days. Users can access the appointment form or check the artist's Instagram for further information.

Users can have one random daily opportunity to discover a tattoo artist with a different style.

The Tattoo Knowledge section allows both newbies and enthusiasts to delve deeper into the world of tattoos. It includes a Tattoo Dictionary, Tattoo History, Fun Facts about Tattoos, Beginner's Guide, Tattoo Tools, and Tattoos and Metaphysics.
The Tattoo Dictionary provides insights into various tattoo styles, their origins, characteristics, and common tattoo terminology. Additionally, the section offers themed articles for further exploration.

Tattoo activities and flash days
To enhance the flow of information within the tattoo industry, users can receive notifications about the latest Flash Day events, tattoo conventions, and more. This facilitates the dissemination of information to tattoo enthusiasts, making it easier for them to stay informed and participate in various tattoo-related events.
Social media fans page - Instagram page
The page will provide event information, and share tattoo topics, tattoo stories, etc., allowing tattoo lovers to express their opinions on the platform and interact with other tattoo lovers. At the same time, the public can also use Instagram to easily get to know tattoos and understand what tattoos are all about.
Real users feedback
Users have consistently given positive feedback, stating that the platform is very comprehensive, each feature is very practical, and those features are also tailored to their needs. The reservation system allows users to plan their appointment dates without having to reschedule with the tattoo artist. The tattoo event information and AR virtual tattoo are the most highly praised features among users. In Hong Kong, information about tattoo events (e.g. Flash Day, tattoo exhibitions) is not widely circulated, and there are hardly any media outlets that share this news. Therefore, this feature can help more people learn about these events. The AR virtual tattoo allows people who are considering getting a tattoo to test the effect of the tattoo on their body in advance, so they are less likely to regret their decision.

Booth Display
This is the booth that we set up at school, and all the items are designed and produced by ourselves. We wanted to showcase the atmosphere of a tattoo parlour through our design, so we included items commonly found in such establishments, such as mirrors and tattoo sketches. Considering that we wanted visitors to not only understand the content and concept of our project but also take something away from it, we placed a tattoo sticker vending machine. This allowed people to twist and receive different styles of tattoo stickers, accompanied by some information about tattoo styles. Finally, we included a guestbook where people could leave their thoughts on tattoos or share their own tattoo stories. In the end, the entire book was filled with various stories, opinions, support, and encouragement. It was truly inspiring for us!
