Goodtakes is an award-winning startup dedicated to tackling the issue of food waste. Our main objective is to connect eateries that have unsold food with last-minute consumers, effectively reducing waste and promoting sustainability.

Company: Goodtakes
Date: 2023

Responsibility: Graphic design | Social media management | Copywriting | Content Research

Background

Goodtakes is a startup that needs to establish a brand image and promote brand awareness and information about reducing food waste through social media.

Problems

  • Past posts had an excessive mix of styles and colours

  • Insufficient appeal in the content of the copy

  • Lack of hashtags leads to low reach

Goal

Establish an informative brand image in social media, revamp existing materials and broaden their scope. Design post templates for various types of content and brainstorm engaging post ideas to captivate the target audience.

Research

We conducted research on food-related information platforms that incorporate mascots and found that posts with mascots were more captivating than regular posts. Furthermore, they added a playful element that enhanced the overall brand appeal.

Target users

People who have a passion for food and are concerned about reducing food waste issues.

Short plan

Based on the brand's color, we have developed the social media brand design while considering ways to engage our target audience. Our strategy includes utilizing a mascot to create various content themes such as memes and comics, presenting knowledge and information in a host-like manner.
